ENERGY VENTURE & INNOVATION, Co-Founder
Jeremy Adelman has spent two decades working as a venture investor and entrepreneur. These experiences were gained internationally by working with startups, corporations and governments. He continues to advise the newest generation of entrepreneurs on financing and bringing technology to market.
Previously, Jeremy was Vice President and Co-Founder of Energy Foundry. The Chicago-based venture capital firm makes investments in energy and electric utilities markets. He was active in all phases of the investment process, and led deals ranging from distributed renewable generation and advanced building efficiency to oil & gas. These investments have led to one acquisition to date.
Jeremy played a role in cementing Chicago’s position as a hub for energy innovation. He co-founded Coalition:Energy, one of the country's first energy-focused co-working spaces. And, he served as Managing Director of the Smart Grid Cluster, an energy focused accelerator. These efforts yielded more than $120M in growth for participating companies. In 2015, Maria Contreras-Sweet, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration under President Obama, recognized the achievements as an “inspiration to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Nation.”
