As grid operations become more complex, operators are expected to manage increasing volumes of data, tighter decision windows, and evolving technologies, all within high-stakes environments. This presentation highlights a human-centered approach to control room design that integrates critical information, prioritizes what matters most, and supports effective, informed decision-making. Through the development of a control room simulator and applied design principles, this work demonstrates how to help bridge the gap between innovation and real-world grid operations.
